Aron Cronin
IFIs and Business Development Specialist
Aron Cronin established GIC Limited in 1991. He is an acknowledged authority worldwide on the policies, programmes and procedures of the international funding institutions (IFIs) and has regularly advised, trained and mentored officials and contractors on effective processes and compliance issues. His current concentration is on our Bid Management service line, which strengthens the competitive bidding capacities of Services, Works and Supplies contractors as part of their business development and marketing strategies. He has a specialist interest in private sector development in small island economies.
James McLeodTrade and Investment Specialist
James McLeod joined GIC in 1997. He has a background in international development finance and investment and has worked as a consultant in international trade and economic development for over 35 years. He has particular experience in developing country trade policy, market access issues and export promotion. He has worked in most parts of the world with the European Commission and other international agencies as well as advising governments, regional economic organisations and trade operators.
Roger WatkinsOrganisation Development Specialist
Roger Watkins is a management, human resources and training consultant. He joined GIC in 1996 with a background in personnel management, staff training, work study, planning, procurement and logistics management in the industrial engineering sector. He has led several major market development assignments and organisation reviews for GIC's private sector clients, as well as designing and delivering a range of training courses and seminars aimed at improving the performance of private and public sector organisations in international markets.
Eric ArnoldPublic/Private Sector Development Specialist
Eric Arnold specialises in projects which involve partnerships (or other forms of cooperation) between the public and private sectors. He joined GIC in 2006, having worked previously for the management consulting arm of KPMG and the investment banking arm of HSBC. He has extensive experience of projects which involve restructuring of public sector organisations, privatisation, contracting out (outsourcing) and public/private partnerships. His experience includes work on major public/private partnerships such as the UK Channel Tunnel Rail Link, and other projects involving restructuring, privatisation and joint ventures. He has considerable experience of working with Government, gained in part from two long term secondments to Government, the first to HM Treasury and the second to the UK Cabinet Office. He has worked in many overseas countries, most recently in the Caribbean.
Andy BarracloughInstitutional Procurement and Logistics Specialist
Andy Barraclough is an Institutional Procurement and Logistics consultant with over 20 years of practical experience of managing aid funded activities in developing countries. He has a detailed knowledge of healthcare sector functions and the major aid donor procurement regulations and requirements. He has undertaken several major training exercises in conjunction with aid agencies activities and regularly advises and provides assistance to client governments and institutions receiving and seeking to manage donor funds. His ability to formulate practical solutions to logistics difficulties in both dense urban population and remote rural areas has been especially recognized in the adoption of his methodologies in the Far East.
